Background
An anacronym for Horticulture, Animal Management, Simulated Teaching and Educational Resource. The project was part of the phase 3 campus redeveopment. Constructed on the West side of the campus.

Ethos
The facility was designed as two Barn style blocks around a courtyard style development. .

Facilities
The facilities comprised two new barn style blocks designed around a planted courtyard, with a wall providing the secure fourth side of the courtyard.

Half of the north block comprised an Animal Management teaching facility designed to be set up and run by students as a simulated Pet Store, including all associated animal care and retail training.

The other half of the north block provided teaching facility designed to be set up and run by students as a garden centre, selling plants grown and produced in the horticulture department. Planting beds in the centre courtyard form part of the plant retention facility for the nursery teaching area.

The East block comprised a Cafeteria with small kitchen and internal and external seating areas, and was to be run by students as a cafeteria offering refreshments to staff and students on this part of the campus, (remote from the main refectory areas) as well as guests to the college.
